Version 1.4 runs for 42 days total and splits into two phases, so it pays to plan your pulls instead of spending blindly on day one. Phase 1 features Arcane, a 6 star Nature Caster who can flex between DPS and support depending on her stats, alongside the off rate limited units Mi Fu and Camille. Phase 2 brings Liino, a 6 star Electric Supporter who wields a Polearm, arriving on August 9.

If you are unsure who to pull for, check whether you already have strong Nature or support Operators before committing your Oroberyl. Since Arcane’s kit changes based on how you build her, it also helps to decide early whether you want her as a Nature main damage dealer or as a support unit, since that choice affects your gear farming plan going forward.

Build Arcane the Right Way in Arknights: Endfield

Arcane is the headline new unit of Phase 1, and her Array Arcana system means her whole kit shifts depending on your stat priority. Getting this right from the start saves you a lot of wasted materials. Give her more Intellect than Will if you want her to hit as a Nature main damage dealer, or more Will than Intellect if you want her to work as a support who amplifies Nature and Cryo damage taken by enemies.

For the DPS build, aim for the Hot Work gear set, which boosts her Nature damage after she triggers Corrosion. For the support build, aim for the Eternal Xiranite set instead, which raises her Will stat. As for weapons, her signature Type 42: Solemn Phalanx is her best in slot pick if you can pull it, though the battle pass weapon Junction Point is a solid free alternative for players who want to save their pulls.

Update Your AIC Factory for the Gas System

The AIC factory receives its biggest update yet in Version 1.4 with the addition of Gas as a brand new material type alongside solids and liquids. This is one of the most important things to set up early, since your factory keeps producing even while you are offline.

Start by building the Xiranflow Cloudseeder Station, the new hub facility for processing gas, and collect Inergen from gas vents in the new Wuling areas to begin basic gas production. From there, use the Reactor Crucible to convert Inergen into other gas types like Xiragen for higher tier recipes, and take advantage of state conversion, which lets you turn materials between gas, liquid, and solid forms for more flexible production chains.

Gas routing is more complex than regular conveyor belts, so it is worth saving blueprints for your layouts early rather than rebuilding from scratch every time you expand.
