Who is Sylus in Love and Deepspace?

Sylus is the fourth love interest in Love and Deepspace, added in the Version 2.0 Opposing Visions update on July 15, 2024. He leads Onychinus, the group that rules the lawless N109 Zone, and he is rarely seen without his mechanical crow Mephisto or his loyal twin henchmen, Luke and Kieran. His Myths later reveal that he is the last of a dragon race, which is exactly where his darker combat forms come from.

You meet the Sylus character early in the Long-Awaited Revelry arc of the main story, and clearing Chapter 1, Stage 8 of that arc opens up his Affinity, dates and phone calls. His memories work in combat as soon as you pull them, so you do not have to wait for the story to start using him. Love and Deepspace Sylus Companions Explained

Sylus fights through companions. Each SSR companion is tied to a 5 Star Solar memory pair, gives your hunter a unique weapon, and scales off one main stat. Matching that stat across your whole team is the single biggest thing in any Sylus build.

Silverwing Fiend is his newest companion, released in December 2025, and it has the most explosive kit of the three. Abysm Sovereign is the most forgiving, since it heals you on almost every hit. Relentless Conqueror is the easiest to get because the Captivating pair sits in the permanent Xspace Echo pool. Sylus also has an SR companion called Otherworldly Visitor, but the three SSR forms are where his real power is.

Best Protocores to Use for Sylus in Love and Deepspace

Solar memories take Alpha and Beta cores, while Lunar memories take Gamma and Delta cores. A protocore also has to match the memory’s Stellactrum color, so a Sapphire memory only accepts Sapphire cores.

Since Alpha and Gamma always roll the same main stat, your real choices happen on Beta and Delta. Sylus’s companions lean hard on their Resonance Skills, so running Expedited Energy Boost on at least one Beta core helps a lot at R0. After that, push the stat your companion scales with.

On substats, percentage stats beat flat stats almost every time. For crit, keep a ratio of about 1 Crit Rate to 2 Crit DMG, which means around 40% Crit Rate if your team screen shows 180% Crit DMG. Protocores drop from Core Hunt, which unlocks after Chapter 4, Stage 13 of the main story. Farm Sapphire for the Crimson pair, Emerald for the Abyssal pair and Pearl for the Captivating pair, then match your Lunar cores to whatever colors you slot in. Best Silverwing Fiend Build in Love and Deepspace

Silverwing Fiend gives Sylus a vampiric twist, and the whole kit runs on Blood Essence. Your Charged Attack spends a Rose Mark to trigger Rose Thorns, while your hits, Crimson Break and Crimson Coffin all fill Essence. At 100 Essence, you cast Blood Pact and enter Crimson Bond. Sylus becomes your familiar, your Active Skill turns into Bloodrose Rain, and your Resonance Skill turns into Underworld Rift. Each Bloodrose you grow adds 30% damage to Underworld Rift, up to two at a time.

Best Silverwing Fiend Team

Put Crimson Rapture and Crimson Departure in your two Solar slots, then fill the four Lunar slots with DEF talent memories. Pick the colors that match the stage you are clearing. If you do not have the Crimson pair yet, the 4 Star Ivory Prudence and Ivory Thirst pair is a DEF based Solar stand in.

Silverwing Fiend Rotation

Open with Rose Scent for 8 seconds of unstoppable and 15% bonus damage, then land a Charged Attack to trigger Rose Thorns. Weave basic combos with Crimson Break and Crimson Coffin to fill Blood Essence fast, since Crimson Coffin alone gives 20 on its first hit. Once you hit 100, cast Blood Pact.

Inside Crimson Bond, use Bloodrose Rain and basic attacks to grow two Bloodroses. Bloodrose Rain costs no energy, but its cooldown grows with every cast, so do not spam it blindly. Then fire Underworld Rift. You are invincible while it summons, and it pauses the enemy’s Weakness timer, so casting it during a weakened phase stretches your burst window. Save Crimson Finale, his Ardent Oath, for that same window.

Best Abysm Sovereign Build in Love and Deepspace

Abysm Sovereign comes from his Beyond Cloudfall Myth, and it plays like a risk and reward bruiser. You and Sylus start every fight at half HP in Abyssal Feast, where basic attacks, Active Skills and Support Skills heal you back up. Holding the Resonance button switches you into Abyssal Fury for 11 seconds, where every hit burns HP for extra damage. The more HP you have when Fury starts, the bigger the damage boost, and it will not start at all below 25% HP.

Best Abysm Sovereign Team

Slot Abyssal Mark and Abyssal Blossom as your Solar pair, then use four HP talent Lunar memories. The free 5 Star Magnum Opus fits here perfectly. Without the Abyssal pair, the 4 Star Bloodnight Blaze and Bloodnight Drift pair is an HP based Solar stand in.

Abysm Sovereign Rotation

Spend the opening seconds in Feast mode, using Fiendish Claw, Life Sacrifice and basic combos to heal up. Against groups, the Fiend Reaper’s Charged Attack restores 10% of your Max HP for each enemy it hits, so it refills you very quickly. Life Sacrifice is also a great safety tool, because the first hit you take while charging it gets cancelled and instantly completes the charge.

When your HP is high, hold Wrath Judgment to enter Abyssal Fury and unload Fiendish Claw, Life Sacrifice and basic attacks for the full 11 seconds. You cannot use Charged Attacks during Fury, so stick to the basic chain. Drop back into Feast, heal up and repeat. Line up Fury with the enemy’s weakened phase and finish with Insatiable Eye, his Ardent Oath.

Best Relentless Conqueror Build in Love and Deepspace

Relentless Conqueror was his first SSR companion, and it is the best single target pick of the three. Both Conqueror’s Confinement and Boundless Protection apply Devour Mark for 8 seconds. Marked enemies are forced to attack Sylus instead of you, and they drop Dark Energy that heals you both. The real trick is applying the mark again on an enemy that already has it, which starts an 8 second charge. When it ends, the enemy takes true damage equal to 80% of the damage you dealt to it during that window.

Best Relentless Conqueror Team

Run Captivating Lesson and Captivating Flavor as your Solar pair, then pick four ATK talent Lunar memories. The 4 Star Razor’s Dance and Razor’s Grip pair is a solid ATK based Solar stand in until you complete the Captivating pair.

Relentless Conqueror Rotation

Use Conqueror’s Confinement to mark and pull your target, then follow with Boundless Protection to mark it again and start the charge. For the next 8 seconds, throw everything you have at it, including Boundless Gunfire, full basic strings and Charged Attacks. Hitting a marked enemy with your Active Skill also has a 50% chance to cut 1 second off its cooldown and refund some energy, so you get more casts inside the window. Finish with Doomsday Trial, his Ardent Oath, once the boss is weakened.
