Pokémon UNITE is a strategic 5v5 multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by The Pokémon Company. Players form teams of five and battle against opponents to score points by capturing wild Pokémon and depositing energy into the enemy goal zones. Each match typically lasts 10 minutes, making it perfect for quick yet engaging gameplay.

S Tier Pokemons

Let’s take a look at all of the Pokemons in this tier:

Moltres

Moltres is a melee-ranged All-Rounder type Pokemon that is a special attacker. Its ability, Flame Body, burns opposing Pokémon whenever a basic attack or move connects, applying a stacking burn counter that fuels the rest of its kit. Its unite move Firebird Inferno states that Moltres soars upward and unleashes a blazing orb of fire toward the designated area, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and instantly maximizing their burn counter. After this move is used, the area around the opponents’ scorable goal zones becomes visible to Moltres for a short time.

Moltres thrives in long, drawn-out brawls where it can stack burn counters with Wing Attack and Incinerate before cashing them in with Heat Wave for massive damage and self-healing. Its Sky Attack dash also grants bonus Defense and Sp. Def based on how many enemies it hits, letting it dive into fights and survive far longer than most All-Rounders.

Latios

Latios is a long-ranged Attacker type Pokemon that is a special attacker. Its passive, Levitate, increases Latios’s movement speed after using a move, and it can fly instantly to an allied Latias anywhere on the map if one is on the team. Its unite move Eon Blast states that Latios aims at a designated opposing Pokémon and charges incredible power before releasing a pulse of Eon energy, dealing heavy damage and immediately resetting all of Latios’s move cooldowns. Latios’s cooldowns are also reduced for a short time afterward.

Latios is a damage dealer with genuinely infinite growth potential, making it a huge threat as matches drag into the late game. Its Luster Purge and Dragon-type moves stack additional damage the longer a fight lasts, while its crowd control options help set up kills for the rest of the team.

Darkrai

Darkrai is a melee-ranged Speedster type Pokemon that is a special attacker. His unite move Worst Nightmare states that the user becomes invincible and uses a sleeping spell on the enemy team’s targeted Pokémon. If the target is successfully put to sleep, the user’s move cooldowns are reset, the target is marked to receive damage over time, and the user sends that target into a nightmare realm centered on their initial location.

The user follows the target through the nightmare realm. Goal zones, jump pads, and Berries have no effect on Darkrai or the target when they are in the nightmare realm. Other Pokémon outside the nightmare world cannot attack Darkrai or their target while they are inside. Unlike most Speedsters who just need to land their moves to burst a target down, Darkrai’s damage largely comes from its Bad Dreams ability, which only triggers once the enemy is actually asleep.

Mimikyu

Mimikyu is a melee-ranged All-Rounder type Pokemon that is a physical attacker. Her unite move Play With Me… states that Mimikyu leaps at an adversary, trapping them inside Mimikyu’s fabric, doing damage over time and providing a shield. The trapped enemy is solely affected by this Unite Move and the effects Mimikyu applied prior to using it. After Mimikyu loses their shield, or after a few seconds pass, the user stops attacking and hops away in the specified direction. This ability counteracts Unstoppable.

Despite its tiny stature and strange appearance, which is atypical for an All-Rounder, Mimikyu remains one of the most lethal and deceptively balanced picks in the entire roster. Its kit has no glaring weaknesses, which is exactly why it has held onto S tier since its release.

Miraidon

Miraidon is a long-ranged Attacker type Pokemon that is a special attacker. Its unite move Bright Future Meteor Storm states that Miraidon develops hindrance resistance and summons up to five meteorites in a succession, each targeting a specific region and harming opponent Pokémon. If a meteorite strikes an enemy Pokémon, it boosts the damage of following meteorites by an additional amount. The last meteorite hits opponent Pokémon in a broader area of effect and knocks them airborne.

Miraidon remains flexible depending on the moveset it learns, capable of playing more like a traditional Attacker with Charge Beam or leaning into a Speedster-style burst role with Electro Drift. Either way, it continues to excel as a primary damage dealer for the team, though it demands a high skill ceiling to play effectively.

A Tier Pokemons

Let’s take a look at all of the Pokemons in this tier:

Alcremie

Alcremie is a long-ranged Supporter type Pokemon that is a special attacker. Her unite move Fluffy Cream Supreme states that Alcremie rises up on a magnificent cake and grants itself a shield. It then sends whipped cream to nearby ally Pokémon, restoring their HP and increasing their maximum HP for a short time. Fluffy Cream Supreme ends when Alcremie loses its shield.

Alcremie is a genuinely well-rounded Supporter that can provide strong offensive and defensive support through shields, healing, and buffs, giving the whole team a real advantage during fights. Its kit is also simple enough for newer players to pick up and master, which is a big part of why it has become such a popular support pick.

Blissey

Blissey is a melee-ranged Supporter type Pokemon that is a special attacker. Her unite move Bliss Assistance states that she becomes unstoppable and sprints to the specified ally Pokémon to deliver an egg, which grants that buddy a shield and boosts their Attack and Sp. Atk for several seconds. The user also intercepts a portion of the ally’s post-mitigation damage as unmitigated damage during that window. While dashing, opposing Pokémon are harmed and launched into the air, and any close enemy Pokémon are hurt again once Blissey reaches her target ally.

Blissey continues to offer some of the most reliable healing, shielding, buffing, and debuffing in the entire game, while boasting the highest HP of any Pokémon in the roster. It remains a fantastic counter against burst damage compositions, though it can’t function well when separated from its team.

Zacian

Zacian is a melee-ranged All-Rounder type Pokemon that is a physical attacker. Its unite move has Zacian charge its blade with Aeos energy and unleash a wide-area slash against all nearby opponents, dealing increased damage to any Pokémon that has recently been buffed by their own Unite Move.

Zacian combines strength, durability, and speed better than almost any other All-Rounder. Its ability, Intrepid Sword, boosts the damage of its own moves and can trigger additional effects, and its dash-heavy moveset makes it surprisingly agile for a Pokémon of its size. Its main drawback is that its unique held item, Rusted Sword, takes up a slot without offering the stat bonuses a normal held item would, which limits some of its build flexibility.

Alolan Ninetales

Alolan Ninetales is a long-ranged Attacker type Pokemon that is a special attacker. Her unite move Snow Globe states that Ninetales attacks with a chilling blast of snow and ice that deals damage to foes in Ninetales’ area of effect when it hits, dealing extra damage to already-frozen enemies. Ninetales is unstoppable throughout the cast.

Alolan Ninetales offers a good mix of support and damage thanks to Aurora Veil, which lets it deal solid damage through attacks while providing utility for its allies with a bit of mobility on the side. Its burst potential from freezing enemies in quick succession is still strong, though its power does tend to plateau in the late game compared to some of the newer S tier picks.

Blastoise

Blastoise is a long-ranged Defender type Pokemon that is a special attacker. His unite move Hydro Typhoon states that Blastoise gains a shield and sweeps powerful water jets in a huge circle around itself, delivering massive damage and knocking foes into the air. Blastoise is unstoppable with this move.

Blastoise continues to offer damage and crowd control while tanking hits, and it has the advantage over most other Defenders of being a ranged Pokémon. Its Rapid Spin and Water Spout combo deals massive damage, while Hydro Typhoon throwing enemies across a huge area makes it a genuine teamfight winner. Its biggest downside remains its slow scaling, since it doesn’t really hit its power spike until the double-digit levels.

B Tier Pokemons

Let’s take a look at all of the Pokemons in this tier:

Galarian Rapidash

Galarian Rapidash is a long-ranged Speedster type Pokemon that is a special attacker. Her unite move Triad Blitz states that the user becomes unstoppable and charges at the targeted enemy Pokémon, shoving them out of the way and stunning them when hit. If the user hits the specified opposing Pokémon after the charge has ended, a strange triangular space forms around them, and that Pokémon cannot leave the area.

Once the space is created, this move can be reused multiple times within a short window, with each subsequent dash injuring any Pokémon in its path. Galarian Rapidash has slipped from her former top-tier standing as the overall meta has shifted toward more team-oriented picks, but she remains a capable pick-off Speedster for players who enjoy an aggressive, mobility-heavy playstyle.

Cinderace

Cinderace is a long-ranged Attacker type Pokemon that is a physical attacker. His unite move Blazing Bicycle Kick states that the user becomes unstoppable and generates a massive ball of flame before kicking it toward the targeted opposing Pokémon. The ball generates a powerful shock wave that harms opponent Pokémon in the area of effect, causing additional damage based on their missing HP. When this Unite Move hits, the user’s movement speed increases for several seconds.

Cinderace remains a strong pick for players who like to farm safely and burst down low-HP targets from range once they’ve secured their core items. Its biggest challenge is surviving long enough to get its Unite Move online, since it lacks the durability of higher-tier Attackers.

Gengar

Gengar is a melee-ranged Speedster type Pokemon that is a special attacker. His unite move Phantom Ambush states that the user becomes unstoppable by jumping forward to the selected spot, then entering stealth and increasing their movement speed for several seconds. When the user launches an attack, they exit stealth. If this Unite Move is used again, the user becomes invincible as they leap out to attack, damaging opponent Pokémon in the area of effect and slowing their movement when it hits. Gengar prepares an enhanced attack each time this move is used.

Gengar has climbed back into relevance thanks to recent adjustments that improved his early-game farming speed, letting him reach his burst damage power spike sooner than before. He remains a high-risk, high-reward pick that punishes overextending opponents but struggles if caught out of position.
