Tip #1. Master the Class Advantage System

The core of your strategy in WWE Champions should always begin with understanding how the six different classes interact. The game utilizes a rock-paper-scissors elemental mechanic that determines who has the upper hand in a match. Purple (Tricksters) beats Green (Technicians), Green beats Red (Powerhouses), Red beats Blue (Acrobats), Blue beats Yellow (Showboats), Yellow beats Black (Strikers), and Black beats Purple. Using a wrestler with a class advantage provides a significant boost to your performance, and the game will even warn you if you are walking into a disadvantageous fight.

Beyond just the color wheel, each class has unique traits that influence their playstyle. For instance, Showboats usually boast much higher health pools and have the ability to heal themselves mid-match. Technicians are masters of submission moves that can wear an opponent down over time, while Strikers focus on dealing massive raw damage with every basic gem match. Knowing these nuances allows you to pick the right tool for the job. If you are facing an opponent with massive health, a heavy-hitting Powerhouse might be your best bet to end the match quickly.

Tip #2. Prioritize Charging up your Finisher!

Every Superstar comes equipped with signature moves and a powerful Finisher. These moves are tied to specific gem colors on the board. When you make a match of the corresponding color, the move gauge fills up. Your primary goal during any match should be to match the gems that charge your Finisher as fast as possible. The Finisher is located on the extreme left of your move set and typically deals the highest amount of damage, often leading directly into a pin attempt that is very difficult for the opponent to kick out of.

The board will not always be in your favor, and the game might try to distract you with matches that do not help your specific move set. It is essential to stay focused. If your wrestler relies on yellow gems to unleash their big move, do not get sidetracked by red or blue matches unless they are necessary to set up a bigger combo. Winning efficiently with three stars requires you to take as little damage as possible, and the fastest way to do that is to unleash your biggest attacks before your opponent can build up their own momentum.

Tip #3. Understand the Mechanics of the Pin and Breaking Out

Winning in WWE Champions happens through the Pin Meter and the Health Bar. The Pin Meter moves back and forth across the screen based on the damage you deal. If you push the meter all the way to your opponent’s side, you initiate a pin. If your opponent still has health, they will have three turns to try and break out. To kick out, the pinned player must make matches that exceed the damage done on the turn that started the pin. If their health bar is completely depleted, however, any pin results in an automatic three-count and an immediate loss.

Strategic use of your moves can manipulate this system. Some signature moves automatically trigger a pin regardless of the meter position. In tag team matches, you can also use a tag to escape a pin if your partner is ready. Always keep an eye on your own health. If you are close to being pinned and have a tag partner available, swapping them in can give your primary wrestler a breather and prevent a quick loss. Managing the rhythm of the match and knowing when to go for the kill is what separates a rookie from a champion.

Tip #4. Build a Balanced Roster and Manage Resources Wisely

It is tempting to put all your coins and TP (Talent Point) posters into your favorite wrestler, but this is a trap that will stall your progress later. Because of the class system, you absolutely must have at least one strong wrestler for every class. You will eventually hit a wall in The Road or Limited Time Tours if you only have a high-level Striker and the opponent is a Powerhouse. Spend your coins to level up a diverse team so you can always exploit class weaknesses.

Be very careful with your premium currency. Cash is best saved for buying Superstar crates rather than for revives or quick heals. Spending 50 cash to resume a match after a pin is rarely worth it in the long run. Similarly, using duplicate posters is a great way to level up your existing moves. Instead of being disappointed when you pull a duplicate, see it as an opportunity to enhance the power of that Superstar’s Finisher or signature abilities without spending extra resources.

Tip #5. Leverage Factions for Health and Support

WWE Champions can be a grind, especially when your top Superstars are injured and you are out of health packs. This is why joining a faction is one of the most important things you can do as a beginner. Factions are communities of players who can help each other out in multiple ways. The biggest benefit is the ability to request a heal from your teammates. Instead of spending cash or waiting hours for your wrestler to recover naturally, your faction mates can patch you up quickly so you can get back into the ring.

In addition to healing, being part of an active faction gives you access to better rewards through faction-wide events and missions. Contributing to your faction not only helps your teammates but also accelerates your own growth. It is a win-win situation that provides a steady stream of coins, TP posters, and other essential items that are otherwise hard to come by through solo play alone.

Tip #6. Play the Board Strategically

Unlike many other Match 3 games, WWE Champions does not have a time limit on your turns. You should take all the time you need to scan the board for the best possible move. Do not just take the first match of three you see. Look for opportunities to match four gems, which clears an entire row or column, or match five gems to create a Wild Card and earn an extra turn. These extra turns are game-changers, allowing you to deal massive damage and charge your moves before the opponent can even react.

Also, be mindful of loot boxes. These white boxes give you extra prizes at the end of the match, but they only deal one point of damage. Unless you are confident you can win the match easily, do not prioritize matching loot boxes over gems that charge your moves. It is much better to win the match quickly and stay healthy than to drag a fight out just for a few extra rewards and risk getting pinned yourself.

Tip #7. Conquer The Road and Participate in Limited Events

The Road is the main campaign mode where you will earn the bulk of your progression rewards. Each fight offers prizes that get better as you move through the map. Once you clear a tour on Normal mode with three stars in every match, you unlock Hard Mode. Hard Mode often has specific requirements, such as using a certain class or wrestler, which is why having a diverse roster is so critical. These higher difficulty levels provide the tokens you need to enhance your wrestlers to silver or gold star status.

Don’t ignore the limited-time events either. These matches are often more challenging than the standard campaign but offer the most lucrative rewards, including rare tokens and premium chips. Replaying older matches is also a valid strategy to grind for coins and props if you find yourself stuck. By consistently checking your missions tab and completing daily tasks, you will ensure a steady flow of resources to keep your team at the top of their game.
