Call of Dragons 1.0.48 Spring Hunt Update: New Events, Heroes, and Gameplay Improvements

Call of Dragons is celebrating the spring months with a series of updates. The Spring Awakening update in March added a number of new heroes, artifacts, and pets to the game. The Spring Hunt update, released at the end of April 2026, kicks off with new events and includes numerous optimizations and improvements. By the time you read this, the Spring Hunt update will have been added to the game: let’s take a look at what it brings.
New Events: Dragon Abyss and Draconic Resonance
The start of spring has caused the snow to melt, but nature isn’t the only thing awakening: hungry beasts have also begun roaming the world. These two new events are built around this theme and offer the chance to earn numerous exclusive rewards, as well as an Avatar frame and the “Hunter’s Trophy” nameplate.
Dragon Abyss
This event gives you the chance to control dragons on the battlefield. You can think of it as a sort of “sneak peek”: this new feature will soon become a permanent mechanic in the game with SoS7: Dragonsiege. Throughout Dragon Abyss, you can heal your wounded units on the battlefield without spending any resources. If you want to try out what it’s like to control dragons without any extra cost, don’t miss this opportunity.

Draconic Resonance
In this event, you’ll be adding the legendary “Thunderdrake” to the battlefield, but first you’ll need to trigger a “resonance.” To do this, you must feed the Thunderdrake, and there are three elements you can feed: beastly strength, lightning speed, and treasure hoard.
You can track your progress on the Draconic Resonance screen. In exchange for feeding, Thunderdrake will reward you with war pet skill cards and speed-up & resource items. If you reach the “Master Dragon Tamer” rank, you can receive extra rewards from the Merchants’ Guild.

New Nameplate & Avatar
All you need to do to get the new avatar and nameplate is trying your luck at the Lucky Ball Machine. You’ll need Lucky Coins to use the machine, and the outcome is entirely up to chance. If you’re lucky and patient enough, you can win the Hunter’s Trophy nameplate in addition to the Avatar frame.

New Hero: Seluna
Seluna was actually added to the game with the previous spring update, but her rarity level was Epic. The Spring Hunt update allows you to upgrade her rarity to Legendary. Seluna is a PvP-focused hero, so if you enjoy challenging other players, she’s a must-have on your roster. We recommend using her specifically in cavalry lineups and pairing her with Atheus whenever possible. The best artifact Seluna can use, at least for now, is the Shadow Blade.

Gameplay Improvements & Optimizations
The Spring Hunt update also adds numerous improvements and optimizations to the game. The most important ones are as follows:
- Expeditions have now been transformed into “Burning Trials.” You’ll have more opportunities to strengthen your army by challenging Dark Creatures.
- War Pets obtained through the Pet Auction will now be automatically added to Storage, and you can release them. If you do so, the Merchants’ Guild will send you Pet Fruits.
- In Roots of War, the maximum Garrison Unit Count has been reduced in Halls but increased in Outposts. Additionally, the Lunambrite Pool distribution has been improved.

- Glory Ratings now grant class rewards, and your weekly resource purchase limit is determined by your rating.
- Agnar and Freya can now grant their units a march speed buff of up to 10%.
- You can now chat with your Camp members through a private channel.
If you’ve been thinking about returning to Call of Dragons, now is the perfect time: it seems the spring will be quite exciting for all players. As always, play Call of Dragons on PC with BlueStacks for a more enjoyable and seamless experience!
