Silver and Blood: Requiem is a dark fantasy RPG where character selection plays a vital role in your journey across the plague-ridden lands of Minexus. Understanding your characters is essential to mastering the game’s grid-based combat system, where proper positioning, faction buffs, and ability combos can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Empowering your vassals is crucial if you want to progress in the game right way. This guide will shed light on all the different ways via which you can empower any Vassal in the game.

Leveling Up Your Vassals

The first and foremost process that players can use is called “leveling up”. Players can enhance the base stats of your vassals such as Attack, Defense, and HP by simply leveling them up. To do so, first select any vassal by going to the hero interface. You should see their level on the right-hand side. Simply click on the “+” sign next to their level, and increase their level either up to the maximum limit or any other number you want. Keep in mind, vassals can only level up by getting experience from this method.

Bringing your characters in battles will not yield them any experience. There’s also a level limit mechanic attached. You will need to limit break your character to enhance their levels further. This level limit is Level 80 for all Vassals. Players can get experience for leveling up their vassals from the tribute rewards, infinite abyss, main story quests, events, quests, and more.

Limit-Break your Vassals for more Growth!

The next power-up method to enhance your vassal’s stats is called “Limit Break”. This method is used to enhance the level limit of your vassals. Sadly, this process can be quite expensive, especially for SSR vassals as it requires same duplicates of the vassal. This can be easily achieved for lower rarity vassals such as R and SR, but difficult to acquire duplicates of SSR vassals. Players can limit break their vassals by clicking on the moon icon next to their level. Each vassal can be limit broken up to 3 times, with each limit-break enhancing their level limit by 40 levels. On top of increasing the level limit, limit break also imparts some additional stats for the vassal.

Skilling Up Your Vassals

The next process to empower your vassals is called “Skilling Up”. As the name itself might suggest, this process refers to the activity of enhancing the different active and passive abilities possessed by your vassals. These skills can be enhanced to increase their damage output, decrease ability cooldown, and/or decrease blood moon consumption. Players can get the materials required to skill up vassals from the Timeworn Mausoleum. Make sure to clear it each day as it resets on a daily basis.

Equip the Right Gear on your Vassals

The last but not the least, gearing up your vassals is also a core activity that every player should perform in Silver and Blood: Requiem. Gearing not only provides additive stats for your vassals but also helps them get additional bonus passives that can help change the tides of the battle in your favor. Make sure to equip the right type of gear with the right type of stats to your vassals depending on their type.

For example, equipping gear that gives physical damage bonus on a vassal that deals magical damage will result in not much gains as they are not synchronized with each other. Similarly, if you want to gear a Defender-type vassal, then choose gear that gives more HP and Defense over damage stats.
