Silver and Blood: Requiem Beginner's Guide to Master the Core Mechanics

Silver and Blood: Requiem is a dark, gothic fantasy RPG that follows the journey of Noah, a young man branded a heretic and sentenced to be burned for his affliction with a deadly plague known as the Black Blood disease. Combat unfolds in fast-paced, nine‑grid, turn‑based battles where strategy and exhilaration intertwine. In this detailed guide, we have explained the core gameplay mechanics and systems that will help new players progress faster. Let’s begin!
Understand the Combat Mechanics of Silver and Blood: Requiem
Silver and Blood: Requiem is an Idle stylized real-time RPG wherein players can participate in different PvE and PvP game modes. The combat mechanics of the game are quite simple to understand but complicated to master. For the starters, all players can craft a team of 5 different Vassals. Vassals are the recruitable characters in the game that have access to special active and passive abilities. Players can get them via the innate gacha system or events. Once you have placed your Vassals in a team formation, you can then select which vassals’s ultimate you want to use in the beginning of the battle.
The entirety of combat happens in a real-time session wherein the combat zone is divided into 1×1 square boxes. Each vassal takes up 1 box. Your vassals will charge their energy or blood energy as they deal damage or take damage. This can be seen via the counter on the bottom screen alongside the avatars of your allied vassals. Once you have enough blood energy, you can use the ultimate of any vassal by clicking on their glowing avatars. The vassals will attack any target automatically that is in their vicinity, or you can choose to aim a specific one by tapping on them.
There is also a neat Blood Moon mechanic in Silver and Blood to give the game a more vampiric feel. Each vassal in the game is assigned a moon type – half moon, crescent moon, or full-moon. Once you have used the ultimate’s from all
Vassals
Vassals is the term given to the characters in Silver and Blood: Requiem. Each of them is unique in their own right, as they have multiple active and passive abilities. Vassals come in different rarities, starting with R as the lowest and SSR as the highest. Each vassal is also given a moon type – half moon, full moon, or crescent moon. Further, all vassals are also classified into different categories such as Enchanters, Healers, Summoners, Fighters, etc. Each vassal is highly unique due to all of these factors.
Players can recruit more Vassals by either summoning them in the gacha system, or simply acquiring them through events or in-game purchases. Much like any other RPG, Vassals can also be upgraded in Silver and Blood: Requiem. This upgrade or enhancement process happens in multiple sub-processes such as levelling up vassals, promoting them via feeding duplicates, and equipping them with strong gear pieces that provide additive stats. Each of these processes can help you increase your combat power multifolds.
Boon Pass
If you’re familiar with the concept of Battle Passes in other games, then it won’t take you much time to understand what the Boon Pass is in Silver and Blood: Requiem. It unlocks after you complete the tutorial, and has 2 versions of rewards – Basic and Premium. As the name might suggest, basic rewards are freebies that all players can claim, while the premium rewards require you to purchase the premium version of the Boon Pass via in-game microtransaction.
Players can progress in this pass and advance through the levels by completing daily/weekly challenges. Each challenge gives you some EXP for the pass. It is a great way to get bonus free rewards!
Lost Courtyard
The Lost Courtyard is the PvE gateway in Silver and Blood: Requiem. It unlocks fairly early, and boats all the different PvE content the game has to offer. The different game modes are as follows:
- Infinite Abyss – This is a tower-like game mode wherein it contains a generic tower of purification where players can climb to the highest floors in search for luxurious rewards. As you climb the tower more, the enemy’s difficulty also rises but so does the quality of rewards.
- Timeworm Mausoleum – This dungeon also comes in different difficulties, and offers skill-up tomes as rewards that players can use to enhance the skills of their vassals. Keep in mind, you can only get rewards from this dungeon 1 time per day, so make sure to not miss out on clearing it daily.
Players can enjoy playing Silver and Blood: Requiem on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop via BlueStacks along with your keyboard and mouse.
